Yay a long weekend!!!

Yay for a link up!  I have been so busy lately with everything going on, but then again who isn’t busy!  I figured out that I would use some of my free time this long weekend to blog since I haven’t done that forever…
I posted my science word wall in my TPT store, but finally found the time to laminate and hang it up.  I love how it turned out.  This project took me forever to finish because I wanted to find pictures that went along with the meanings of the words.  Click the picture to be taken to the product listing if you are interested.

My students have been doing a great job filling out these “What I’m Learning this Week” forms.  I use these in my Friday Folders to let the parents know what we are learning about in class.

I got some awesome books on Amazon for our October book reports.  We are working on the mystery genre this month.  I love buying used books for a penny!  I have heard great things about these books and plan on reading them myself soon…I love reading children’s books!  If you have any other recommendations (especially for fourth grade read alouds) please comment below.  I’m always looking for new books.
It was my fiancee’s birthday yesterday and I baked him a cake.  It didn’t look beautiful, but it’s the thought that counts!  We went to a Brazilian steak house for dinner and then went to see Annabel (SO SCARY!).
I have been working on turning my fourth graders into critical thinkers.  I laminated my HOTS cards for my fast finishers to work on.
I bought some promotional space on TPT this week…anyone else done this?  How much luck have you had with sales?
